Game of Life!

Recently, I went for an exhibition, in each stall you go they used to tell about their company and info about their products.. And how they can be useful for them.. It’s a marketing skill.. Those stall holders used to give their catalogs to the interested people and even to the consultants.. so that they could suggest the products to different customers.

Now a similar scenario, If you have ever been to this arrange marriage so-called get-together you will get to see so many parents with their daughter and son.. They go on the platform introduce themselves their family.. And give basic info of their daughter or son.. Then interest people can contact.. What’s the difference between the two? In the first one they were selling a non-living thing and in the second a LIVING thing!!!

Arrange marriage is a market.. Where parents bring their “Grown-up” Child to find “Perfect” partner. Where they indirectly SELL them! Like to sell any product we highlight good qualities same way here in arrange marriages they highlight their “Products” qualities!! If they have a Groom they highlight his salary, assets, Social life, etc & If it’s a Bride then her cooking skills, Job (which they expect her to leave when they want).. Any boy or a girl don’t work or enhance their skills to get a “perfect” Bride or a Groom.. They do it for themselves.. To make themselves feel good..

I firmly don’t believe in Arrange marriages.. in simple words it’s a gamble.. if you are lucky enough then it might work but if you are not then your life gets spoil.. not only personal life but your career too!!! Why there is a need to sell yourself? We have to spend whole life with that person then more than anything else that person should be compatible to you more than “FAMILY NAME” & “Assets”..rather the assets should be how the other person treats you and how happy you are with that person..

I seriously don't know how those girls would have handled themselves when they were asked to stand up to check their height or to walk to see if she has no problem in walking.. such ridiculous procedure.. And we think now we are moving forward this has ended.. but no its still on! I hope it will stop soon!
